Current Position
Mentors, guides, and assists students completing shop hours and production assignments on Theatre UCF productions. Responsible for lighting in Mainstage fly space, tension grid Black Box space, and pipe grid Light Lab. Created, updates and maintains a full lighting equipment inventory. Instituted an equipment maintenance and repair program, with emphasis on safety, equipment reliability, and consistency of work.
- Mentored, assisted, and evaluated student master electricians and electricians
- Updated department lighting equipment inventory, including both fixtures and accessories
- Researched, procured, and installed new LED work lights for Mainstage theatre
- Implemented regular lighting instrument maintenance and cleaning program
- Checked, repaired, and labeled full cable inventory by length, using a standard color scheme
- Cleaned and organized electrics shop
- Worked with Production Manager on Mainstage theatre dimmer upgrade grant, moving light purchase, LED cyc light purchase
- Recabled Black Box theatre and installed new pipe grid layout in collaboration with faculty designers
- Managed shop budget for both show-specific expendables and equipment upgrades and repairs
